*The 10-episode series “Good Girls Revolt,” based on the book The Good Girls Revolt: How the Women of Newsweek Sued their Bosses and Changed the Workplace by author Lynn Povich, becomes available today on Amazon Prime video.
Amazon’s adaptation follows a group of young female researchers in 1969 at “News of the Week,” as they embark on their revolutionary journey for equality in the workplace. One small step, becomes one big movement that sparks change and upends marriages, careers, sex lives, love lives, and friendships.
As previously reported, Joy Bryant stars in the series as Eleanor Holmes Norton, the future U.S. Congress delegate representing Washington D.C. She was a lawyer at the time representing the women of Newsweek in their landmark sexual discrimination lawsuit.
“Good Girls Revolt” also stars Genevieve Angelson (House of Lies), Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect), Erin Darke (Still Alice), Chris Diamantopoulos (Silicon Valley), Hunter Parrish (Weeds), Jim Belushi (Saturday Night Live) and Grace Gummer (The Newsroom).
Prime members can now stream all 10 episodes of “Good Girls Revolt” and can also download the series for offline viewing on iOS, Android and Fire devices at no additional cost to their membership.
