*John Legend did not mince words when asked his thoughts on Kanye West visiting President-elect Donald Trump Tuesday in New York.

“Whatever’s in his mind, I disagree with him,” Legend said in an interview with France’s Clique TV, via FACT Magazine.

The singer added that he was “disappointed” by Kanye’s onstage rant where he revealed that he “would have voted for Trump” if he had voted in the 2016 election.

“I think Trump has been corrosive to the country,” Legend said. “I think the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people and for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing.”

On Tuesday, West tweeted that his meeting with Trump covered “multicultural issues,” and TMZ reported that the topics included ending the violence in Chicago.

However, Legend contended that it was a publicity stunt.

“I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to [Trump] about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt,” the singer said. “I think Kanye was a publicity stunt.”

On Wednesday morning, West tweeted Trump’s gift to him: a signed copy of himself on as Time’s Person of the Year, with the scribbled message: “To Kanye, you are a great friend. Thanks.”
