*They came into “Saturday Night Live” together, and now Jay Pharoah and Taran Killam are leaving the NBC sketch show together to pursue other opportunities.

According to TV Line, the comedians have decided not to return for season 42. Each has been with the Lorne Michaels-helmed franchise for six years.

The departures will surely be felt the most when it comes to political skewering, considering its return this fall will be at the height of the 2016 election season.

Pharoah is “SNL’s” President Obama, while Killam has impersonated Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump, before Darrell Hammond returned to play the GOP presidential candidate.

Pharoah will also take with him his dead-on impersonations of Jay Z, Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock and Denzel Washington.
