*Jamie Kennedy will take on the role of former N.W.A. manager Jerry Heller in “Girl From Compton” (working title), Lifetime’s upcoming biopic on R&B singer Michel’le.
The film traces the life of the singer, who was discovered at a young age by N.W.A’s Eazy-E and became a platinum artist on Ruthless Records. Eventually, she became Dr. Dre’s girlfriend for more than a decade and later married Suge Knight.
Kennedy joins Ryhon Nicole Brown who will play Michel’le, and R. Marcos Taylor as Suge Knight.
The film is in principal photography in Cincinnati, reports Deadline.
