*Another day, another police shooting resulting in the death of an unarmed black. Such was the case in Tulsa, Oklahoma with motorist Terence Crutcher. Black folks are getting tired of reliving the this same nightmare over and over. And that includes actor Isaiah Washington.
On Tuesday, Washington, who was fired from the hit show “Grey’s Anatomy” for making slurs against a gay actor, went on Facebook Tuesday (09-20-16) to speak his mind on what he thinks American blacks can do to make sure their voices are heard.
“If every single African American in the United States that was really fed up with being angry, sad and disgusted, would pick ONE DAY to simply ‘stay at home’ from every single job…” Washington suggests.
The actor and activist suggested that African-Americans use their economic power to cripple major organizations in hopes to bring attention to the issues that most impact communities affected by police brutality.
“September 26, 2016 is THE DAY,” Washington added.
Of course the significance of that date is that it’s the date of the first presidential debate
In related news, the same day that Terence Crutcher was killed by Tulsa police office Betty Shelby.
