*Looks like things are getting pretty serious between Hoda Kotb and her boyfriend Joel Schiffman. The “Today” host announced on her radio show that the two have decided to shack up.
“Joel and I are getting an apartment together, so we went to see it with the measuring tape,” Kotb revealed Monday on “The Hoda Show,” which airs on SiriusXM Today Show Radio channel 108 Mondays and Wednesdays at 2 p.m. ET.
“It’s a little weird to be in your 50s and we’re like ‘Hey, we’re moving in!’ It’s like you’re kids. It’s so weird. I was afraid to tell my own mother that I was moving in with my boyfriend. I was afraid. I don’t know,” the “Today” host said. “I know it sounds weird—I’ve been married. It’s like, ‘Whatever!’ But it’s weird. It’s a little odd.”
Kotb said she’s “excited” to live with Schiffman, particularly after they “looked at the place and had the tape measure and were picturing us together—like in the apartment.”
For years, Kotb spoke about her financier boyfriend Schiffman on the air, but refused to mention his name. She would refer to him only as “Boots.”
The pair, who met at a Wall Street event, celebrated their three-year dating anniversary in June.
