*Ciara has returned to court in her $15 million dollar legal battle with her baby daddy, rapper Future. As you know, she is blasting his claims that she their son and her fiancé Russell Wilson to garner publicity. She also alleges that her ex is privately tormented by her new love.
Despite her best efforts to paint her baby daddy as a bad parent and absentee father, TMZ reports that Ciara and her legal team got shot down in custody court Monday.
Sources connected to the former couple say Ciara showed up in court asking for sole custody of their 1-year-old son, baby Future. She and her lawyer trashed Future to the judge, saying he is a bad person and a bad parent who is not present in their child’s life.
Future asked for joint custody and the judge gave it to him, rejecting Ciara’s arguments. California courts tend to favor joint custody, so the decision was in line with the law.
theJasmineBRAND.com initially broke the story on how the singer filed suit against Future in Georgia Court on January 21st, accusing him of defamation, slander and libel. She alleges that Future has published numerous false statements regarding her conduct and character. She says her ex was indifferent to the consequences of making such false statements against her.

Ciara also accuses Future of exploiting her new relationship with Russell Wilson by launching a media campaigning last summer in which he used both their son and her new relationship to promote his new CD. She believes Future doesn’t share her desire to keep their private matters out of the spotlight. Overall, she says Future’s smear campaign against her and Russell has hurt her career.
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that Future responded to her accusations by reminding the world that Cici has no career. He also noted that her lawsuit against him generated more publicity than any of his inflammatory tweets about her. The rapper also accuses Ciara of lying about his tweet referencing the $15k child support. He says she knows that’s precisely the amount she demanded from him, and threatened to sue him for $20k in support if he didn’t pay her $15k a month. He insists there was no malice involved when he took to social media to react to her demands.
Future slapped Ciara with a counter-suit demanding she cease making any further false statements about him. He also wants his legal fees paid, and for her to ultimately be awarded nothing from her $15M complaint. In May, Ciara fired back at Future’s counter-suit and fought his attempt to get her lawsuit thrown out. She believes his inability to deal with issues involving their son privately is immature and grounds for her lawsuit.
Ciara is reportedly furious over Future’s unflattering statements regarding her career, and said his motivation for dismissing her many accomplishments is triggered by him being privately tormented by her happiness with her career, her fiancé and their son. She claims that his counter-suit is nothing more than him “acting out” publicly because he can’t stand to see that she has moved on.
Ciara denies that she uses Russell or her son to generate publicity. She’s asking the court to demand Future stop trashing and bullying her online because such statements last forever on the Internet, and could potentially destroy her career.
