*It’s a wrap for Shanika Minor, the Wisconsin woman recently added to the FBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list for the alleged murder of a woman who was nine-months pregnant.
The 24-year-old was arrested today (July 1) at a motel in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the bureau announced. Cumberland County Sheriff’s deputies took her in without incident after the FBI Public Access Line received a tip about her whereabouts.
She was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child, as well as unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Minor allegedly shot the pregnant woman in front of her two children at their Milwaukee home on March 6, 2016. The victim’s unborn child, who was due less than a week later, also died.
The victim, Minor’s 23-year-old former high school classmate Tamecca L. Perry, was a neighbor of Minor’s mother. Authorities believe the dispute began when Minor allegedly confronted the victim over her loud music and felt disrespected by her response.
The FBI had offered a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to Minor’s arrest.
