*A New Jersey school district is not happy with Patterson native Fetty Wap after finding out his latest video – complete with drug references and a dancer on a pole – was filmed in his old high school.
Paterson school district spokeswoman Terry Corallo told NJ.com the district is investigating whether proper procedures were followed in allowing scenes from the video to be shot at East Side High School, where Fetty Wap attended before dropping out.
Corallo says the district does not endorse the content of the video, which she says was shot during non-instructional hours and did not involve students.
“Wake Up” originally dropped on April 20, the unofficial “Marijuana Day.” The song’s lyrics include: ‘Let’s get Wiz Khalifa high and/Get meditated over medicated/Get Wiz Khalifa high and/Throw your caps in the air like you know you made it.”
