*Erykah Badu is in front of and behind the camera for her latest project, a music video for her collaboration with jazz pianist Robert Glasper, titled “Maiysha (So Long).”
The track is from Glasper’s album of Miles Davis reworkings, “Everything’s Beautiful.”
Badu wrote, directed and stars in the video as a temperamental jazz singer named Sarah Bellam. Glasper plays her tortured lover, who fusses with Sarah before they go onstage for their mesmerizing performance of the song.
