*Former New York Knicks coach and Gloria Govan’s new boo Derek Fisher will appear as a guest analyst on Turner Sports’ NBA coverage this week.
The five-time champion as a player was fired in February after 1 1/2 seasons as Knicks coach. He calls his TV gig a “tremendous opportunity” to stay close to the game and “share insight from a new perspective.”
He will join former Lakers teammate Shaquille O’Neal, Brent Barry and host Matt Winer on Thursday for TNT’s “Inside the NBA” studio show. The network’s doubleheader that night is highlighted by the Spurs-Warriors matchup.
On Wednesday, Fisher will also appear on NBA TV’s “NBA Gametime.”
