*Coachella’s second weekend had its share of talent paying tribute to Prince, as it began one day after the music icon passed away on April 21.
One of the performances that stood out came from Usher, who appeared during Major Lazer’s set (complete with a purple backdrop and falling purple rain) to sing along to Prince’s “I Would Die 4 U.”

Usher wasn’t the only artist moved to cover Prince songs in concert over the weekend.
On Saturday, recent Grammy winner Chris Stapleton put his distinct brand of bluesy, back-porch, country soul into Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, California.
Also on Saturday, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band opened their show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn with a cover of “Purple Rain.”
