*Whoopi Goldberg is on the mend after undergoing surgery for a herniated disk.
The actress has been AWOL from “The View” since the beginning of the year, but popped up in a video message Monday from the hospital.
“I’ve had a herniated disk, which is something that has been so painful it made me wish to have my period back again,” she said.
“(But), I’m back much sooner than anyone thinks and I’m back much stronger than ever.”
Goldberg is slated to return to the show next week.
