*Perhaps just as buzzed about as the Emmy wins of Viola Davis, Uzo Aduba and Regina King Sunday night was the premiere of Apple Music’s new commercial during the telecast.

Out of nowhere, Kerry Washington, Taraji P. Henson and Mary J. Blige were suddenly grooving to an old school mix tape. Only it wasn’t a mix tape, it was an Apple playlists that the company is now promoting as a way to replace your old cassettes.

The spot begins with Henson and Washington arriving to Blige’s house and hearing Slick Rick’s “Children’s Story” blasting inside. Once in the crib, Blige opens her laptop and wows the actresses with her Apple playlists.

“So, it knows your mood, it knows your taste,” Washington says. “It’s like you have a boyfriend making you a mixtape in your laptop!”

Cue the montage of the ladies grooving to Diddy’s “It’s All About The Benjamins” and Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight.”

“Selma” helmer Ava DuVernay directed the commercial and says two more featuring the trio will premiere in the coming days.
