*Donald Trump continues to lose support after his comments on illegal Mexican immigrants.

The Professional Golfers Association of America [PGA] announced it will move its Grand Slam from Donald Trump’s golf course in Los Angeles, the first significant fallout for golf from the Republican presidential candidate’s remarks.

Also, “The Real” co-host Jeannie Mai has dropped out as co-host of Trump’s Miss USA pageant.

Last week, Mai defended her decision to stay on after co-hosts Thomas Roberts, Cheryl Burke, Roselyn Sanchez and Cristian de la Fuente dropped out by saying she couldn’t abandon the pageant contestants. But Monday she said via Instagram that Trump’s ongoing involvement with the pageant and the continuing controversy surrounding this year’s event have forced her to step down.

“At the time I made my decision to remain part of the Miss USA pageant, I was under the impression that Mr. Trump would no longer be involved in the production of the show in any capacity what so ever,” Mai wrote. “In addition, given Mr. Trump’s ongoing antics, including his most recent episode today with the current Miss Universe, it is clear that Mr. Trump’s actions have and will continue to distract focus away from the real stars of the show — the women involved in the pageant.”

Trump on Monday called the reigning Miss Universe Paulina Vega a “hypocrite” for choosing to keep her crown despite criticizing Trump’s comments. Mai said she would support the 2015 Miss USA winner and donate to her platform and charity.

As for the PGA, Trump met with the organization on Monday. Both groups said they mutually agreed not to hold the Grand Slam of Golf at Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles on Oct. 19-21.

Trump said because of the backlash over his comments he does not want the PGA of America to deal with any consequences.

”I have great respect for the PGA of America and everything they stand for,” Trump said in a statement.

The PGA Grand Slam is a 36-hole exhibition for the four major champions of the year. Jordan Spieth already has qualified by winning the Masters and U.S. Open. Martin Kaymer will be the alternate as the defending champion.

The PGA said it was exploring options on where to move the Grand Slam, along with its annual PGA Junior League Golf Championship that also was to be held at Trump National Los Angeles. The Grand Slam was in Bermuda from 2007 until last year.

On Monday, ESPN announced it was moving its ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic from Trump’s course in Los Angeles to nearby Pelican Hill.

”Diversity and inclusion are core values at ESPN and our decision also supports that commitment,” ESPN said.
