*T-Boz is performing “Waterfalls” to bring awareness to Sickle Cell disease called the “T-Boz and Friends Unplugged Featuring Raphael Saadiq,” today (04-19-15) at 5pm in Los Angeles at the Grammy Museum at LA Live.
“I told him [Saadiq], ‘When I had the dream, I saw you next to me holding a bass.’ So, we’re making my dream come true,” she said.
Raphael Saadiq isn’t the only other star that will be featured. Faith Evans, Kat Graham and T-Boz’s girl group ATLA will perform at the concert as well.
“I love the work that they do and I know the money goes to a good cause,” she said. “It helps children and parents… It goes to a lot of things that people may not think about unless they’re ill.”
She inherited blood disorder from birth and had her struggles with the disease throughout her life and career. “I was born this way,” she said. “So it makes me more relatable than the average celebrity.”
She set up a Chideo page for fans to donate and purchase tickets. The show will take place at the Grammy Museum at L.A. LIVE today, April 19 at 5pm (Pacific) in Los Angeles.
