*First, producers left Nicole Beharie off of her show’s DVD commentary for season 2. …Now, she may not even have a show for season 3.

A renewal is no guarantee for Fox’s “Sleepy Hollow,” and with news that showrunner Mark Goffman quit this week to pursue opportunities at CBS, it will take a miracle for the series to survive – but miracles do happen. The search for a new showrunner is reportedly on, even though Fox has yet to decide its fate.

If the show does get picked up, it may have a different look and feel under the new executive producer, which could be good news for the droves of viewers who abandoned the program in season 2. Ratings plummeted 40 percent this year, with fans mostly complaining about Goffman’s handling of Crane and Abbie (Tom Mison and Beharie).

“CrAbbie’s” relationship lit a ratings fire under season 1, but fans have complained that the writing has since lost its way.

While the world awaits a renewal decision from Fox, Nicole says one thing that hasn’t let up in both seasons is Ichabod’s hilarious fish-out-of-water musings.
