*It finally happened. According to TMZ, Mariah Carey’s estranged husband, Nick Cannon, has filed for divorce after six years of marriage.
The website claims that Cannon filed papers on Dec. 12, a little over a week after his ex made headlines for missing her rehearsal for the 2014 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting. At the time, the site reported that she had been on the phone, allegedly dealing with an issue related to Cannon.
The “America’s Got Talent” host Cannon, 33, first confirmed the two were living apart back in August, when he told The Insider With Yahoo that they had been in separate houses “for a few months.”
Two months later, in October, the actor stopped by the “Meredith Vieira Show,” where he opened up a little about their split. “It’s truly just staying focused on family and what’s right and getting through these times and just doing what’s right for the kids,” he explained, referring to twins Moroccan and Monroe, 3.
