*NBA legend Moses Malone died due to a severe hardening of his arteries, reports TMZ Sports.
The Medical Examiner’s Office in Norfolk, VA says Malone suffered from hypertension and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, according to the website. The condition likely induced a fatal heart attack or stroke.
Malone, 60, died Sunday morning in a Norfolk hotel. Paramedics who arrived on the scene were unable to revive him.
Malone, a dominating center known as the “Chairman of the Boards,” played 19 years in the NBA, and was a Hall of Fame inductee in 2001.
