Words matter.
Just ask to Joey Casselberry, A Bloomsburg University (Pennsylvania) baseball player who now finds himself an ex-player on the team for an offensive tweet about Little League World Series star Mo’ne Davis.
In the wake of the situation, Casselberry’s Twitter account was deactivated Saturday night, but screen captures of the tweet show that Casselberry called Davis, 14, a “slut” while criticizing news that a Disney Channel movie was being made about young Miss Davis.
Bloomsburg announced the dismissal of the junior first baseman on Twitter. The university in Pennsylvania said it was “deeply saddened” by the player’s tweet.
We take matter very seriously; addressed the issue with the student-athlete (who has been dismissed from team), coach, and the team.

Bloomsburg Univ is deeply saddened by what was written about #MoneDavis by one of our student-athletes. His words do not represent us.
