That super-delicious, chocolate skin captured in crisp black & white is most certainly dazzling!
Jordan is the middle of three children with an older sister, Jamila, who works in production, and a younger brother, Khalid, who plays football at Howard University.
He may be best known for his role as East Dillon High School quarterback Vince Howard in “Friday Night Lights,” however, it was his performance as shooting victim Oscar Grant in “Fruitvale Station” that catapulted him to the A-list. His TV/film roles also include: “The Wire,” “All My Children,” and “Parenthood.”
He played the Human Torch in the 2015 film “Fantastic Four,” and Adonis Creed, son of fictional boxer Apollo Creed, in the Rocky sequel film “Creed.” To prepare for the role as a boxer, Jordan has said that he worked out six days a week for at least two hours at a time, and adopted The Creed diet.
“A lot of grilled chicken, brown rice and vegetables,” he said. “I’d mix it up with fish. And a gallon and a half of water a day.”
Following “Fruitvale Station,” Jordan was named one actor to watch by People and Variety. TIME named him and “Creed” director Ryan Coogler one of 30 people under 30 who are changing the world, and he was also named one of 2013’s Breakout Stars by Entertainment Weekly and GQ.
Jordan’s “Creed” co-star, Sylvester Stallone, posted an Instagram video of the 28-year-old actor on Wednesday, in which Michael appears to literally get knocked out while filming their critically acclaimed movie.
“Michael B. Jordan taking it on the chin for real!” Stallone captioned the video. “Got up and did it again!!! I know the feeling…”
