*Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will appear in the upcoming video for the new Ludacris song, “Beast Mode.”
Last week on ESPN’s “His & Hers” show, the rapper said the song was actually inspired by #24, whose nickname Beast Mode came from his aggressive running style.
“The same way he’s plowing down people on the field, I’m plowing down people in the music industry and all these rappers,” Ludacris told hosts Michael Smith and Jemele Hill. “It’s a song that has no hook. It’s three minutes of just metaphors and just going in.” [Scroll down to listen.]
“I met [Lynch] and literally within like two minutes I felt like we were family,” Ludacris added. “I don’t know what it is. He’s real cool, real laid-back guy. He was a fan. He was talking about how much his mom was a fan, so I told him I’m a fan of his. We inspire each other.”
Ludacris’ album, “Ludaversal,” debuts Tuesday.
