*Jill Scott hasn’t released any new music in four years since “The Light of Sun” album. Now she’s back with a new single AND video, “You Don’t Know,” according to The Boombox.
The old school ballad features a bluesy guitars, drum rifts and titillating horns. Scott’s concept behind the song and lyrics is the perils of love.
“Tell me, do you get down on your knees and pray? / That it will never go away / Well if you don’t know what I’m talking about / You don’t know nothing about love,” she sang.
There’s no word yet if Scott is releasing a full-length album, but in the meantime, fans can listen to this emotive and relatable ballad.
