Janet Jackson Continues Tour Rehearsal, Set to Perform at iHeartRadio Festival

*The show will go on for Janet Jackson!

As we previously reported, Janet had put rehearsals for her upcoming tour on hold so she could be by her father’s side after he suffered a stroke on July 27. Now Access Hollywood has learned that Janet is continuing to rehearse while Joe Jackson recovers.

According to inside sources, Janet brought “key personnel” to Brazil, where Joe is currently hospitalized (“on the mend”), so she can continue prepping for her tour, as well as for her highly anticipated appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in September. Sources tell Access that Janet is rehearsing after hospital visiting hours are over. She will remain in Brazil with her niece Stevena, (brother Randy’s daughter), until Randy and sister Rebbie arrive to tend to Joe. Janet could be back in the States as early as Aug. 3, according to the source.

Janet’s “Unbreakable” world tour is scheduled to kick off August 31 in Vancouver.

Meanwhile, in addition to Janet, Kanye West, Sam Smith and the Who are set to perform at the 5th annual iHeartRadio Music Festival this fall. Lil Wayne, Coldplay, the Weeknd and Blake Shelton will also perform during the two-day event in Las Vegas on Sept. 18-19, IHeartMedia announced the line-up Thursday.

Other performers include David Guetta, Kenny Chesney, Fall Out Boy, Disclosure, Duran Duran, Prince Royce, Diplo, the Killers and Jason Derulo. Additional acts are expected to make appearances as well.

Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the festival will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and will live stream on Yahoo! and iHeartMedia’s radio stations. It will also air as a two-night special on The CW Network on Sept. 29-30. Tickets go on sale Saturday for the general public.

The popular music festival has boasted performances from previous acts like Taylor Swift, Usher and Nicki Minaj.
