*So it’s Fox’s fault that Vernon Turner had to die on “Empire.” Or was it ultimately Lee Daniels’ decision?
Malik Yoba still doesn’t know who exactly green lighted the demise of his character. He Skyped into “TMZ Live” this afternoon and explained that he was in Ferguson, Mo. setting up a screening of “Empire” to raise money for the Urban League when Daniels, the show’s creator, called him to deliver the bad news.
“He said someone at Fox decided that someone needed to die in the season finale,” Yoba revealed. Asked by TMZ’s Harvey Levin if it was Fox who picked him specifically or Daniels, Yoba said, “To this day, I don’t know…”
