*The situation involving the University of Oklahoma Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter and the racist chant uttered by some of its members is one that has disgusted many people.
But James Moore isn’t one of them. In an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon via Skype, Moore, an “imperial kludd” of the Loyal White Knights of the KKK, claimed a double standard existed on who can join certain race- or ethnicity-exclusive fraternities or sororities. In Moore’s eyes, “freedom of association” is a God-given right.
Mediaite.com noted that Moore took an inaudible shot at Lemon’s race at one point during the chat.
For the interview, Moore was dressed in traditional KKK attire while wearing sunglasses in a dark room. He later told Lemon that he was drawn to the KKK because of “people like yourself [Don Lemon] who discriminate against me who said I couldn’t stand up for my people.”
Lemon explained in the next segment why the interview took place on Skype. According to him, Moore was originally set to appear on his show from a studio, but that studio “had an issue with who he was and what organization he belonged to, so they would not allow him in.” As a result, Lemon said they had to use Skype.
