*Ben Carson was forced to sit and listen to his own rap ad on Thursday during an interview about his effort to woo African American and Latino voters.

The GOP frontrunner’s campaign released a 60 second radio spot this week that threw a hip hop beat under quotes from his speeches, along with a rap from someone named Aspiring Mogul.

“There are members of our campaign who that that was something that would resonate with a lot of people,” Carson explained during a Facebook interview with Fusion’s Jorge Ramos in Miami.

Ramos played the song for Carson, who sat stoically and listened awkwardly as Aspiring Mogul rapped: “Vote and support Ben Carson, for our next president and be awesome…”

At another campaign stop in Miami, Carson referred to the ad as that “rap thing,” and said he “probably would have taken a little different approach.”
