*Taye Diggs and Morris Chestnut, stars of “The Best Man” and its sequel “The Best Man Holiday,” will reunite on Chestnut’s Fox new drama “Rosewood,” according to Deadline.
Created by Todd Harthan, “Rosewood” stars Chestnut as Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr., a private pathologist in Miami, FL, who partners with Det. Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz).
Diggs will play Dr. Mike Boyce, a world-renowned infectious disease doctor based in Miami and Rosewood’s longtime best friend who is brought in to consult on a case and catches the eye of Detective Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz), much to Rosewood’s surprise.
Ironically, during the TCA panel for “Rosewood” over the summer, Chestnut joked about having to bring his A-game to the series so that Harthan wouldn’t replace him with Diggs or Omar Epps.
