*Bad Bunny took center stage at Super Bowl LX, delivering a high-energy performance with Lady Gaga and other Latin stars, including Ricky Martin, Cardi B, and Pedro Pascal. However, Jennifer Lopez, a fellow Puerto Rican and past Super Bowl performer, was notably absent from this year’s lineup.
Lopez previously appeared in the high‑profile Super Bowl halftime show in 2020 alongside Shakira and was joined briefly by Bad Bunny during that performance. According to News Nation Now, the superstar was “furious” about not being invited to participate this year. Even though she did not attend the big game, Lopez showed support through social media. She posted multiple throwback photos with Bad Bunny from six years ago, writing, “Sending you love, positivity and the biggest hug in the world! We are all behind you tonight. I know you are going to kill it! I am here with you the way you were there with me.”
A source noted that her posts were perceived as self-promotional, adding, “She wasn’t actually there. Which is a shame. She could use the association right now. He’s hot — she’s not… and it all seems so desperate for attention.”

According to insiders, Lopez has been working to stage a career comeback, but her recent efforts have faced challenges. Her movie “Kiss of the Spider Woman” underperformed, her Vegas shows over New Year received mixed attention, and her live singing has faced criticism online.
”She’s been trying to make a comeback,” one Hollywood insider said. “Nothing is working. Her movie [“Kiss of the Spider Woman”] bombed. Her shows in Vegas over the New Year did okay — but it was the New Year — and her singing is being mocked online. She’s performing every song live in Vegas and there are some people who are better off lip synching if you know what I mean.”
Observers suggest that while Lopez remains a household name, the visibility and relevance of newer stars like Bad Bunny present challenges for those attempting comebacks.
