*NBC’s drama series “Found” will be available to stream on Netflix in the U.S. starting January 2, 2026.
The series, which ran on NBC and had previously been exclusive to Peacock, will release both of its seasons, comprising 35 episodes. This move is part of Netflix’s strategy to expand its content catalog by licensing shows from recent years, What’s on Netflix reports.
“Found,” created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll, is a twisty procedural about Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton), a PR specialist dedicated to finding missing persons from marginalized communities. Gabi, who was once among those overlooked by society, now uses her expertise to give attention to cases that might otherwise go unreported. However, she hides a dark secret of her own, which adds intrigue to the show’s complex narrative. In Season 2, we find Gabi, who had kept her childhood kidnapper, Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), imprisoned, has now escaped, turning her darkest secret into her greatest threat.
Although “Found” was well-received during its run, NBC decided to cancel the series after its second season aired earlier this year. The series was among several NBC shows canceled as the network shifted its schedule to make room for the 180 hours of primetime basketball next season, part of NBCUniversal’s $2.5 billion annual deal with the NBA, per Deadline.
The show’s arrival on Netflix offers a second chance for viewers to experience its gripping storylines. It’s also part of a larger trend of networks re-licensing content to Netflix after years of pulling back from such agreements in the late 2010s.
This licensing deal marks the first time that “Found” will be available for a broader audience on Netflix. There is no revival or renewal planned.
The show is expected to attract a fresh audience looking for an engaging drama with a socially relevant premise.
