Cops Arrest Man Who Repeatedly Kicked Elderly Woman on Subway [VIDEO]

*New York police arrested a violent 36-year-old Yonkers man Saturday after he was filmed brutally attacking an elderly woman on a subway train earlier this month.

Several passengers filmed the incident on their phones, but no one came to the aid of the helpless 78-year-old woman as the brute repeatedly kicked her in the face.

Marc Gomez was arrested in Lower Manhattan following the March 10 attack, Chief Dermot F. Shea said on Twitter.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital and is reportedly receiving care and much needed support.

As Gomez exited the train, he said, “WorldStar that,” referring to the ghetto-ass website that posts video of violent altercations, The New York Times said.

Police said Gomez was arrested after they received an anonymous tip. He has been charged with felony assault.

Meanwhile, the train’s passengers have faced criticism for failing to assist the woman.

As reported by The New York Times, on Sunday, Alisa Cox, Gomez’s fiancée, offered a bit of backstory about what lead her man to go HAM on the elderly woman.

Cox claims the victim repeatedly threatened her family, including her 11-year-old daughter, as they were traveling back to Yonkers after attending a birthday party, the report states.

“It looks like he just went over there and starting kicking her for no apparent reason,” Cox, 44, said in an interview, adding, “I’ve known him since he was 16. He’s not a bad person.”

She noted that Gomez immediately expressed remorse after abusing the elderly woman.
