*Tamar Braxton is stirring up old drama with Kandi Burruss following a revealing conversation on The NeNe Leakes Show, where she addressed two unresolved issues: her controversial departure from The Real and her ongoing tension with the fellow singer and reality star.
The conversation began when NeNe Leakes revealed she had once been offered a hosting seat on “The Real” but declined to remain on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Leakes said she believes the slot ultimately went to comedian Loni Love. That revelation prompted Braxton, an original panelist on the daytime talker, to unload.
“I wish they would’ve told me that, because I wouldn’t have casted Big Back Cadillac,” Braxton said, doubling down on her claim that the show was “originally built around” her before network executives added Love.
Braxton left The Real in 2016 under what was publicly called a “mutual agreement.” As That Grape Juice reports, reports cited advertiser concerns and on‑set friction, much of it allegedly tied to her relationship with Love. Braxton’s fresh remarks signal that wounds remain open: she insisted the panel might still be on air had Leakes taken the seat.

The discussion then pivoted to Braxton’s rocky history with Kandi Burruss, whom she again labeled disingenuous.
“Kandi, if you’re watching, and we know you’re watching … we’re not jealous of you … but you got to be a better person,” Braxton said, staring into the camera.
“We don’t have an issue with you. We’re not jealous of you. We actually celebrate your success,” she said.
“It’s not fair to the people who have been following our careers, knowing that you are doing things behind the scenes, knowing that you are lying on people,” the songstress continued.
Braxton denied being a “hater” and accused Burruss of shaping public opinion to paint herself as a victim.
“But for you to deliberately use the public’s opinion to manipulate them into thinking that people are really coming after you when we’re not, that’s not right … I apologized to that girl in that conversation 15 times,” she added.
Leakes indicated she would welcome a dialogue with Burruss, but Braxton said she won’t engage unless the RHOA veteran “admits to lying.”
