*Soulja Boy is set to face legal action in court next month, following allegations from his former assistant and romantic partner.
InTouch reports that the case, initiated in 2021, is scheduled for trial on March 3 in Los Angeles Superior Court. The accuser, identified as Jane Doe, claims she suffered physical and emotional abuse while working for Soulja (born DeAndre Cortez). In her original suit, she accused the rapper of sexual battery and false imprisonment.
The woman claims she began working as Soulja’s personal assistant in December 2018, handling various tasks like cleaning, cooking, and driving him, while being paid $500 per week and living in his Los Angeles home. She claimed to work up to 20 hours a day, seven days a week. Over time, Jane alleged that Soulja began sending unsolicited explicit photos and that their professional relationship turned romantic.
However, Jane claims Soulja would often display violent jealousy, even physically attacking her over minor matters. According to her, he would punch, kick, and body-slam her. She also accused him of imprisoning her in a room and physically assaulting her multiple times, including a 2020 incident where she says Soulja threatened her life.
In court documents, she details “numerous instances of physical violence (kicking, throwing, and punching), sexual assaults, spitting on her body, and threats of physical violence and death.”

Per the suit, “On or around May of 2019, [Soulja] violently grabbed [Jane’s] cell phone after she indicated she wanted to quit and spit on her. At that time, [Jane] believed she was in love with [Soulja] and was placated to remain in this toxic relationship by [Soulja] who would often state ‘I didn’t mean it.’”
Jane claims Soulja would become enraged and jealous about “trivial offenses,” such as when her phone rang or when she received comments on Instagram. He responded by “tackling [her] to the ground and kicking her in the ribs.”
“On numerous occasions, and sometimes twice in the same day, [Soulja] would inappropriately touch [Jane’s] body, forcefully pull her pants off, and raped her,” the suit alleged.
In response, Soulja, who denies all allegations, argues that he had a consensual relationship with Jane Doe and has requested the case be dismissed, along with legal fees to be paid by his accuser.
The trial is expected to last seven days, with both Jane Doe and Soulja Boy expected to testify.
