*Wolf Man star Julia Garner shares how she watches thriller flicks and the scariest thing she left behind in 2024. The Universal monster horror written and directed by Leigh Whannell also stars Christopher Abbott and Matlida Firth.

Q: Do you like to watch scary movies solo or with people?
JG: If it’s something that I’m in, it’s easier [for me to watch a scary movie] because I’ll be looking [around and thinking], ‘Oh, was I bad in this? Oh, we shot that before lunch, after lunch … When I’m not in the film, I like to watch it with people because I get scared really, really easily. Or I will watch it by myself if it’s a movie that I’ve watched before.

Review: Wolf Man has a scary and sweet daddy-daughter component! And the scenes with the dual perspective within the different dimensions from Blake’s point of view and his family’s point of view was visually majestic and endearing. Plus, the thriller reminds us why sometimes we should mind our business – don’t go looking for things you don’t have any business looking for…

Synopsis: Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (“Poor Things,” “It Comes at Night”) stars as Blake, a San Francisco husband and father, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his own father vanishes and is presumed dead. With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Emmy winner Julia Garner; “Ozark,” “Inventing Anna”), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (MatlidaFirth; “Hellraisers,” “Coma”).
But as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte is forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without.
