*As the world waits for the next “Friday” movie to drop, Ice Cube is spilling the tea on what the film series highly anticipated fourth installment could’ve been if Hollywood higher-ups just believed.

IceCream Convos notes a recent appearance the rap and sports mogul made on Cam Newton’s “Funky Friday” podcast. During the interview, Cube revealed the plot of “Last Friday,” saying it would’ve centered on his character Craig and Mike Epps’ Day-Day as dispensary owners.

The pair would ultimately land themselves behind bars via a string of unfortunate events. As Craig and Day-Day adjust to life in jail, they end up in a rehab facility run by Smokey—Chris Tuckers beloved character from the original “Friday.”

Despite the allure of potentially seeing Tucker back as Smokey, Hollywood executives couldn’t see Cube’s vision with “Last Friday.”

As a result, filmgoers are left to their imagination as to how things would’ve turned out.

Cube’s revelation of the rejected plot comes amid news of him mentioning that “Last Friday” is finally in the works at Warner Bros after years of being in limbo.

So, what say you? Would you have liked to have seen Cube’s vision of the next “Friday” movie brought to light with him reuniting with Chris Tucker? Or would it be better to let the series go out from a different angle?
