*Yung Miami, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, has publicly addressed their relationship for the first time, revealing that he was never physically abusive towards her.
In the season two premiere of her award-winning series “Caresha Please,” the City Girls rapper discussed her time with the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder. Yung Miami was involved with Diddy before his ex Cassie filed a lawsuit against him late last year, and prior to surveillance video surfacing earlier this year showing him assaulting Cassie at a hotel in Los Angeles in 2016. Yung Maimi expressed her shock and distress upon seeing the footage and emphasized that her own experience with Diddy was entirely different, noting that the video did not reflect her relationship with him.
“That was not my experience at all,” she says on the show before revealing she too has suffered abuse at the hands of a romantic partner.
“I’ve been in a toxic relationship before when I was younger,” she says. “In high school, my early 20s, and they’re not healthy. They’re not fun. It’s just I’ve been there, done that, and that’s somewhere I would never want to put myself.”
She continues, “Now, being 30 with two kids, that’s something I don’t condone or tolerate, something that I grew from. That’s why I say that wasn’t my experience with him, because I wouldn’t even put up with that [again].” She adds that she wants to be a good example “of a mother and a woman for my daughter.”
The hip-hop star explained that she got with Diddy during his “Love era.”
“I met him in his Love era. He was focused on building love, and really locked in on his music and business. I was with him when the world was celebrating him,” she says.
“I just think that when I met Diddy he was just a man first. He was more into what I wanted to do, and he approached me with a lot of business [ideas]. ‘You should do this. I see this in you.’ So it was more of that for me. He saw more in me than music.”
We reported earlier that Diddy is facing at least nine lawsuits related to various sexual assault accusations. Most recently, former adult film star Adria English took legal action against the Bad Boy Records founder, accusing the disgraced music producer of coercing her into prostitution at his annual “white parties” in New York and Miami between 2006 and 2009.
According to multiple reports, investigators are preparing to bring Diddy’s accusers before a federal grand jury in New York.
Yung Miami was recently implicated in a lawsuit where Rodney Jones accused Diddy of saying he paid her a monthly stipend for sex work. The lawsuit also alleged that Yung Miami acted as a drug mule for Diddy, a claim she has denied. Yung Miami has expressed feeling unfairly targeted due to her relationship with Diddy.
“This whole thing has broken me and impacted me in such a way, and it was kind of a dark time for me,” Yung Miami says on her show.
“So I just want to stay positive and focus on myself and what’s important to me right now. I always tell myself, ‘stay strong, stay consistent. You are beautiful. You are worthy.’ In life you always face challenges. But when you fall like it, you pick up, you ride again,” she continues.
Yung Miami says she is “a work in progress” and “constantly doing the work to become a better version of Caresha.”
