*A laundry hack for those averse to ironing involves tossing a few ice cubes into the dryer with wrinkled garments; as the ice melts, the steam helps to smooth out the wrinkles, leaving your clothes fresh and wrinkle-free.
According to Daily Mail, the TikTok account @mommylifesquad first shared the trick in 2022. To effortlessly eliminate wrinkles from your laundry, simply toss a few ice cubes into the dryer along with your clothes at the end of the cycle.
In a video post, the TikTokers told viewers: “Stop ironing your clothing. When you throw your clothes in the wash, at the last 10 minutes of the cycle, throw in some ice cubes.
“Now, when you take your clothes out of the dryer, they will be wrinkle-free – no more ironing needed.” The video ended with them showing off a freshly washed shirt with no creases. Watch the clip below.
It is recommended that the ice cubes should be added 10 minutes toward the end of the tumble dryer cycle.
