*Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige are among the 15 nominees for the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

TODAY reports that the other artists are Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, Sade, A Tribe Called Quest, Lenny Kravitz, the late Sinéad O’Connor, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & the Gang and Oasis.

A nomination requires that an individual artist or band have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years before the year of nomination.

“This remarkable list of Nominees reflects the diverse artists and music that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame honors and celebrates,” said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.

“Continuing in the true spirit of Rock & Roll, these artists have created their own sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others that have followed in their footsteps,” Sykes added.

Over 1,000 artists, historians, and music industry professionals will cast ballots for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The 2024 class of inductees will be announced in late April, with the induction ceremony slated to occur this fall in Cleveland.

The exact date and location have yet to be announced. Fans can watch the ceremony when it airs on ABC and stream live on Disney+.

Meanwhile, Oasis frontman Liam Gallager hit up social media to slam the institution and noted that Mariah Carey is more deserving of a Rock Hall induction than his popular British rock band, Variety reports.

“F*ck the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS,” Gallagher wrote on X/Twitter, in reaction to the nominees.

When a fan wrote, “Oasis deserves to be recognized for their impact and achievements,” Gallagher responded, “Not as much as Mariah she smashed it.”
