Dunkin’ Customer Files $100,000 Lawsuit Over Exploding Toilet Injuries | VIDEO

*In another episode of “What the Damn Hell,” a Dunkin’ customer is holding the doughnut chain accountable for alleged injuries sustained from an exploding toilet.

On Jan. 3, Paul Kerouac filed a lawsuit in Orlando, claiming he was faced with a toilet that exploded while in a restroom during a visit to Dunkin’s Winter Park, Florida location last year.

Citing the Associated Press, Complex reports that Kerouac is seeking more than 100,000 for suffering from “severe and long-term injuries.”

The suit details the Orlando, Fla. Man requested help from Dunkin’ employees and the store’s manager after being covered in feces, urine, and debris upon leaving the restroom. Although an employee told Kerouac they were aware of a “problem with the toilet” due to previous incidents, the employee didn’t provide him with any more information about the explosion.

Detailing the impact of the damages, the lawsuit revealed that Kerouac endured “bodily injury,” with the man having to seek “mental health care and counseling as a result of the trauma experienced” since Jan. 2022, according to Complex.

Kerouac’s lawyer, Scott Spradley, commented on the lawsuit via a statement, saying his client “continues to suffer” with mental and emotional instability from the “shocking, nightmarish scenario,” including “PTSD-like symptoms.”

“We are hopeful that the lawsuit will result in Mr. Kerouac being justly compensated for his injuries, even though the imagery will never be forgotten,” Spradley wrote.
