*Colman Domingo provided an update on whether he’ll reprise his role as Ali in “Euphoria” Season 3. The Emmy-winning actor was asked about his return during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Bravo.
“I will be returning to Season 3 of Euphoria,” Colman said, noting that filming would “get started early next year.”
Domingo also expressed hope that the new season will tackle Rue and Laurie’s dramatic situation “over the suitcase full of drugs.”
“I hope so, that’s a good storyline,” Domingo said. “That Laurie character was incredible.”
We reported earlier that “Euphoria” season 3 is anticipated to debut in 2025, following numerous delays since the airing of its second season in 2019.
HBO announced postponing the third season because show creator Sam Levinson is “committed to making an exceptional third season.” According to Teen Vogue, season 3 of “Euphoria” has not started filming because it is still being written.
Series star Zendaya previously said she is unsure when “Euphoria” Season 3 will begin production.
“If it’s right for the characters and everything turns out the way it should, of course,” Zendaya told Variety at the “Challengers” premiere in Los Angeles in April. “But it’s beyond me.”
HBO confirmed earlier this month that production for the third season kicks off next year with the main cast returning.
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January,” said Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO programming and head of HBO drama series and films. “We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans.”
