*Black Democrats seem to be on edge about the increasing support for Donald Trump among Black men in the presidential race. As a result, the conversation isn’t centered around Kamala Harris‘ policies but rather an intense focus on why more Black men are choosing not to support her.
The Hill reports that Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) is the latest fringe liberal to express his concern that Black men will vote for Trump in the upcoming election.
“I am concerned about Black men staying home or voting for Trump,” Clyburn said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “But my concerns don’t tend to keep me from being energetic about this campaign.”
The South Carolina congressman recalled having “very frank and direct discussions” with Black men recently while campaigning for Harris in Michigan.
“Black men, like everybody else, want to know what I can expect from a Harris administration,” Clyburn said.

Clyburn’s comments come days after former President Obama chastised Black men for not having Kamala’s back weeks before the election.
“You’re coming up with all kinds of reasons and excuses; I’ve got a problem with that,” Obama said Thursday in Pennsylvania. “Because part of it makes me think — and I’m speaking to men directly — part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that.”
According to The Hill, recent polling shows an increase in support for Trump among Black men.
