*Charlamagne Tha God shared his views about Donald Trump’s 2024 election win over Kamala Harris, suggesting Joe Biden’s presidency set the stage for this outcome.
During Wednesday’s broadcast of “The Breakfast Club,” Charlamagne argued that Biden’s term was intended as a transitional period, Complex reports. He also noted that health concerns about the president grew after his poor debate performance against Trump in June. When Harris took over the campaign over the summer, she had little time to shift momentum before Election Day on November 5.
“Biden is one of the problems here because he should’ve let everyone know he was just a transitional president,” Charlamagne argued. “Biden should’ve dropped out a year ago or two years ago. And they should’ve made him drop out a year or two years ago. Or not drop out, but say he was not going to run again.”
Charlamagne Tha God continued, “They could’ve done a proper primary, picked a candidate. I still think [Harris] probably would’ve been the best choice. I think Biden is one of the bigger issues here that people aren’t going to want to talk about, but they should.”
Harris vowed to help Trump and his team with their transition in 2025 and “engage in a peaceful transfer of power,” she said in her first speech after her presidential election loss.
“The light of the American promise will always burn bright as long as we never give up,” the vice president told a crowd at Howard University in Washington, DC.
“At the end of the day, America spoke loud and clear. It was a free and fair election,” Charlamagne said during his radio broadcast Wednesday.
“People went out there and voted for the candidate that they wanted to vote for and now that candidate is our president. You can say whatever you want, ‘Oh, that’s not my President.’ Yes it is, and the things that they’re going to do in the White House with control of the Senate is going to affect us all, so what we doing?” he added.
