*Cardi B confirmed that she did not request child support from her estranged husband, Offset, in her divorce filing.
She turned to social media Saturday to address the child support matter while dispelling reports that the Migos rapper was “unsupportive” during their marriage, Page Six reports.
“Ok this is getting weird cause I can say he helps me a lot with my business and the kids,” she wrote in the comments section of the Jasmine Brand’s Instagram post.
“Never in my career no matter what I went through I had friends or family go to the media sooo I don’t know who is this damn source going to people magazine..Even wit my filling I’m not askin for child support my claim is for him to only pay for the bills he already pays on the kids and the new one.”
As we reported earlier, Cardi (born Belcalis Almánzar) is ending her six-year marriage to Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus.
Sources tell TMZ that the split is not related to infidelity. According to insiders, this has been a long time coming, with the couple having grown apart. One source noted, “They’re just disconnected from each other.”
“They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger over time. It’s become unavoidable,” the insider claimed.
PEOPLE reports that Cardi filed for primary custody of their two kids, daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 2½.
This marks the second time Cardi B has filed for divorce from Offset. She initially pulled the plug in 2020 but later withdrew the petition.
The Grammy winner is currently pregnant with her and Offset’s third child. According to tea spillers, Cardi filed for divorce after Offset’s mother told her he got another woman pregnant.
