*Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark, Cameron Brink, and Kamilla Cardoso were among the top first-round picks at the WNBA draft on April 15 at Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Reese has officially joined the Chicago Sky. The WNBA team selected her as the seventh pick. The league’s commissioner, Cathy Engelbert, presented Reese with her No. 24 jersey, marking her transition from the former LSU Tigers star to a professional player.

Joining Reese on the Chicago Sky is Kamilla Cardoso, the draft’s third overall pick.

Earlier this month, Reese announced in a story for Vogue she is leaving LSU for the WNBA. She also shared her decision on Instagram.

“I’ve done everything I wanted to in college,” Reese said in the Vogue story. “I’ve won a national championship, I’ve gotten [Southeastern Conference] Player of the Year, I’ve been an All-American. My ultimate goal is to be a pro – and to be one of the greatest basketball players to play, ever. I feel like I’m ready.”

On X/Twitter, Reese wrote, “Grateful for these last four years and excited for this next chapter. #BAYOUBARBIEOUT,” along with a video tribute to her four years at the university on X.

In the Vogue video, Reese expressed gratitude to her family, as well as her teachers, coaches, and managers, for their support throughout her college career.

“All of this is because of you, thank you for loving me and supporting me in everything I do,” Reese said in a voiceover.

“I’m leaving college with everything I’ve ever wanted,” Reese continued, adding, “a degree, a national championship, and this platform I could have never imagined.”

In related news, the Indiana Fever selected Caitlin Clark as the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft.
