*An Oregon woman was captured on surveillance video pushing a 3-year-old child off a platform and onto the train tracks. Now she is facing charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, and recklessly endangering another person.
The unprovoked attack on the toddler reportedly occurred on Wednesday (Dec. 28) at Gateway Transit Center MAX platform in Northeast Portland, New York Post reports. Breanna Workman, 32, is seen in the footage getting up from a bench and pushing the toddler as she waits with her mother for the train to arrive. The brazen attack occurred in presence of several passengers.
The child lands face-first on the metal rail and rocks but is quickly rescued. The child reportedly sustained minor injuries from the fall.
According to police, the victim had no contact with Workman prior to the incident. A press release from the Multnomah County District Attorney notes that the woman has been charged with first-degree attempted assault, third-degree assault, interfering with public transportation, second-degree disorderly conduct, and recklessly endangering another person,

“The child landed face-first onto the metal rail and rocks before being quickly rescued from the train tracks,” Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt said in a statement.
“The child reported a severe headache and had a small red mark on their forehead after the incident,” the statement said.
Workman is listed as a homeless person in court records, Oregon Live reports.
“The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges, including an offense for which Oregon law permits pretrial detention, and is requesting that Workman remain in custody and be held without bail,” Schmidt added.
