*Rapper Trina is catching heat from fans of Nicki Minaj after calling Beyoncé the “Queen of rap.”

Trina appeared at the One Music Festival in October and credited Bey for the rise in popular female rappers, Complex reports.

“‘Cause she’s like the number one female rapper when she does rap,” Trina explained. “When you hear her do a song and it’s rapping involved, it’s just like, ‘Oh my god.’ It’s more inspiration.”

Nicki Minaj fans were quick to clap back on social media. One X/Twitter user posted a clip of Trina rapping Nicki’s 2010 song “Moment 4 Life.” The person noted that the Miami-based artist was “doing Nicki tributes when Nicki was still a rookie.”

When Trina caught wind of the criticism she hit up social media to announce in a post… “I really don’t give a rats ass how anybody feels, I said what I said.”

Trina’s full IG post read: “Now that I have y’all undivided attention ‼️ I am actually late to the party bcuz I wasn’t aware of this nonsense happening today bcuz Im too busy minding my business. Let me just make myself CLEAR once again, since it’s a slow day for the blogs and bullshit, this interview was back in October at The One Music Festival.. I rlly don’t give a rats ass how anybody feel, I said what I said .. that’s the Queen Bey and I’m gonna STAN 🐝 on that 🗣️🗣️🗣️ Beyonce is the Queen of rap (when she raps) and ALL genres of music when it comes to me ‼️ go argue with the IRS or somebody else idc 😮‍💨🙄 and that’s not up for debate over here. So run along and enjoy the rest of y’all day. (And make sure to clean behind y’all sofas before the New Year)”

Trina recently came to the defense of raunchy female rappers Sexyy Red and Sukihana, who face criticism over their oversexualized lyrics.

“They are over 21, and they can do whatever they want to do,” said Trina in an interview at One Musicfest, adding, “this is a freedom of speech like we’re not locked up, we’re not chained down, say what you want to say, make music of what you feel like. If you don’t like it, don’t listen, that’s why we have ears,” she said, Complex reports.

Trina’s comments come after rapper her longtime nemesis Khia slammed fans for comparing her to Sexyy Red and Sukihana.

“These h*es was raised by Trina,” Khia said in a live chat on YouTube on Oct. 23, referencing her feud with the fellow Miami artist, XXL Mag reports. “I’m ’bout tired of y’all comparing me to these h*es…I said ‘My neck, my back, my p*ssy and my crack’ and still had my hair tied up like a queen. First day, I ain’t changed a bit.”
