*T.I. and Tameka “Tiny” Harris have opened their first affordable housing complex in Atlanta.

The development project boasts 143 apartments, with 25 units to house homeless youth. The hip-hop couple attended Tuesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Intrada Westside complex, Baller Alert reports.

“The arts and entertainment industry in this city has been able to collaborate and be, I guess, profitable enough to offer the community so many things that are much needed,” said T.I.

The property sits across from Center Hill Park in northwest Atlanta. According to Baller Alert, T.I. was inspired to invest in the community where he grew up after seeing fellow rapper Killer Mike do so.

“He says, ‘If everyone does a little, no one has to do a lot,’” T.I. shared during the ribbon-cutting.”

“The Black Press of America salutes both the creative genius of T.I. and his concrete commitment to the economic development of Black communities,” National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) President and CEO Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis Jr. proclaimed, per Dallas Weekly.

The affordable housing development in Atlanta is an innovative and positive pathway forward,” Chavis declared. “I know T.I. personally, and his character and integrity are impeccable.”

Most recently, T.I. and Tiny were awarded $100k from former friend Sabrina Peterson, who accused the couple of harassment.

We reported previously that Peterson inspired a slew of women to come forward with allegations that T.I. and his wife drugged and raped them.

Peterson sued T.I. and Tiny for defamation in 2021, accusing the couple “of ruining her reputation after she publicly accused the rapper and his wife of various forms of sexual and physical abuse,” per RadarOnline.com.

She even claimed T.I. put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her.

According to Radar, citing court documents from a recent hearing, Peterson lost her case against the music stars and was ordered to pay the hip-hop couple $100k after they defeated most of the claims in her lawsuit.
