Nicholas “Nick” Arrington is one of the captivating cast members of Bravo’s new series, “Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard” – an all-Black spin-off of the beloved Summer House. Nick is a stylist and sports brand manager who has caused a few waves this season, from sending questionable DM’s to his female cast members to giving his married friend Silas relationship advice; Nick isn’t shy about giving his opinion.
EUR talked exclusively with Nick about the flirty DMs he sent to his cast mates Shanice and Jordan and what his girlfriend thinks about those DMS.
Arrington said he was being friendly when he sent messages to his cast mates – one of those messages claimed Shanice was his wife – but Nick said flirty, but there was no action behind it in person. He further explained, “that’s what made it really innocent. I think Silas and Jasmine wanted me to be with one of these women more than me. And you could tell on screen the relationships – and how they formed between me and Shanice, Bria or Jordan, for that matter. Is friendly.”
Arrington admits that some of what has been revealed in the show caused a few tense moments in his relationship when asked about her response to the series.
He added, “home life isn’t as easy as it was. But it’s fine. It ebbs and flows. I have to put myself in her shoes and how I would feel, and I really need to empathize with that. And that’s it, support her and make sure she feels secure. She knows and has seen the dynamic of me, Jordan, and everyone else in the house, and she can see that it is purely platonic.”
On the topic of newlyweds Silas and Jasmine and if Silas is too controlling with his new bride, Arrington shared that although he isn’t married, he can give an outside observation.
“I want to preface by saying I’m not married, right? So I can’t give a married man advice. All I can do is make an observation from the outside of how things appear. Right. So my biggest, I guess, comment to Silas was Jasmine; these women have known Jasmine longer than you have. The woman that you love, she’s had experienced those experiences with those women have made the woman that you love. That’s who you’re in love with, so you have to embrace them. That’s how I am with my friends; my friends are family. So he has to embrace that. Because it’s like, you got a good thing. Don’t mess it up over silliness, bro. Don’t mess it up over someone buying her drink. Who cares?”
