*The Recording Academy is “evaluating” Sean ‘Diddy” Combs’ invitation to the 2024 Grammys amid assault allegations.

As EUR’s Chris Richburg reported previously, an effort is underway by women’s rights group UltraViolet to convince the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to ban Combs from the 2024 Grammy Awards. The Bad Boy mogul is facing a slew of sexual assault lawsuits.

“We are deeply disturbed and concerned by the recent allegations of sexual abuse, sex trafficking of a minor, and domestic violence made against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs over the past three weeks,” UltraViolet said in its statement. “The gravity of the allegations against Combs underscore the ongoing need for accountability — and that the #MeToo movement is relevant and badly needed more than ever.”

Combs’ latest project, “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” is nominated in the Best Progressive R&B Album category.

While his Grammy 2024 appearance is in limbo, a rep for the Academy said they “are taking this matter very seriously and we are in the process of evaluating it with the time and care that it deserves,” the organization said in a statement to Rolling Stone.

We reported earlier that Combs recently settled a $30 million lawsuit with his ex-girlfriend Cassie. Last month, she accused him of rape, physical abuse, and sex trafficking during their decade-long relationship. Details of the settlement have not been revealed. Diddy is now facing four additional sexual assault lawsuits.

He denied all allegations via his representative Nathalie Moar, stating, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”
