Nick Cannon is hosting yet another show!
The “Masked Singer” host has a new series on VH1, “Future Superstars.” The show features episodes of upcoming artists’ journey to stardom.
Cannon has been known to launch careers through his show “Wild n Out.” Several comedians have gotten their start on that show. He’s also played a role in the careers of some of today’s artists such as HER and Kahlani. Watching interviews about or with Cannon one can learn how influential he is behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. And now he is showing everyone the power of his impact with his new docu-series “Future Superstars.”
Each episode follows a different artist telling their story. The show focuses on their path of following their dreams and showcasing their talents. This series is not only a way to get their names out there, but a way for viewers to get to know them and how relatable they are.
We talked to Nick about this show and why it was important for him to use his platform this way.
“It’s one of those things where I feel like it’s one of my gifts. So really it is a blessing to spot talent early,” said Cannon. Cannon has been in entertainment for over 20 years. And through his time in the industry, he has learned a lot about it and is willing to help others achieve success.
With reality TV being so popular, especially in the realm of talent shows. Cannon took a different approach to this show. As mentioned before “Future Superstars” is a docu-series. Stepping away from the talent showcase form or the group house reality show. So what made Cannon take this approach?
“I wanted to give everyone their opportunity to tell their story. I wanted to set our show apart from just your typical follow doc,” said Cannon. He goes on to add, “How much more effective would it be to tell someone’s origin story as we see it?”
